The Powerex MH-C401U USB Smart Charger charges 1-4 AA or AAA nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) or nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries. AA batteries take about 4-5 hrs to charge, while AAA batteries take about 2 hrs. The charger has individual LED lights to indicate the charging status for each battery. Charge from any 5V/2A USB power source and conveniently charge with the included USB cable (AC adapter NOT included). The charger is great for use in the home or office. It includes 4 Powerex PRO 2.0 AA 2700mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries. These batteries are built for performance and optimized for high drain devices by providing increased run time and low temperature performance down to -4°F (-20°C) and high temperature performance up to 122°F (50°C). They can be recharged up to 500 times. The batteries can be stored for an extended period of time and will retain up to 60% of their charge after 5 years in storage.
